Spring Season

Season Season Overview

For Spring 2026, Westside Wild will provide coaching support and resources for the recreational league while transitioning program branding. Our focus is on supporting and growing the youth girls programs in Blue Valley, as well as launching new opportunities for Olathe and KC Saints players.

Teams will compete in the KCMGLA Sunday metro league, with all games held at Blue Valley North against teams from across the Kansas City area. Each team can expect 9–10 regular season games, plus 1–3 games in the end-of-season tournament, along with additional internal scrimmages and development opportunities.

Game Dates: March 29, April 12, April 19, April 26, May 3
Season-Ending Tournament: May 10

New players are welcome at all age levels, with teams grouped by skill level to ensure the best developmental experience.

3rd and 4th grade program

The 3rd/4th grade age group will compete in 5v5 small-field games on Sundays against teams from across the Kansas City metro. Game times will typically be around 12:00 PM and 1:00 PM, and many weekends will feature doubleheaders to maximize playing and development opportunities.

To help keep practices organized and high-energy, we ask that one parent volunteer assist at each session. A sign-up sheet will be shared prior to the season, and no lacrosse experience is required.

This program focuses on teaching the fundamentals of girls lacrosse, including basic stick skills, throwing, and catching, in a fun and supportive environment.

The season runs from early March through mid-May, with practices held at Blue Valley Northwest on Wednesdays and Fridays from 6:00–7:00 PM. Players are only required to attend one practice per week.

Team sizes will be capped at 9 players to ensure strong development and maximum playing time, with no more than three teams (27 players total).

The program cost is $175 and does not include a jersey. Jerseys may be available for purchase ($25–$30) or potentially loaned for the season. Sticks and goggles will also be available to borrow for players who need equipment.

5th and 6th grade program

The 5th/6th grade program focuses on continued skill development, game concepts, and preparing players for full-field lacrosse in a supportive and competitive environment.

The season runs from early March through mid-May, with practices held at Blue Valley Northwest on Wednesdays and Fridays from 6:00–7:15 PM. Players who miss a practice are expected to complete 20 minutes of individual stick work as a make-up.

Roster size will be capped at 30 players, with teams divided based on 8v8 or 12v12 game formats to ensure appropriate competition and development.

The program cost is $200 and does not include a jersey. Jerseys may be available for purchase ($25–$30) or potentially loaned for the season. Sticks and goggles will also be available to borrow for players who need equipment.

Interested goalies receive half off registration, and our coaching staff will offer additional free off-season training opportunities to help develop goalie-specific skills.

7th and 8th grade program

The 7th/8th grade program is designed to prepare players for high school lacrosse by emphasizing advanced stick skills, game strategy, and competitive play in a challenging and supportive environment.

The season runs from early March through mid-May, with practices held at Blue Valley Northwest on Wednesdays and Fridays from 6:00–7:30 PM. Players who miss a practice should complete 20 minutes of individual stick work to stay on track with skill development.

We will work to accommodate as many players as possible to provide strong development opportunities at this level.

The program cost is $225 and does not include a jersey. Jerseys may be available for purchase ($25–$30) or potentially loaned for the season. A limited number of sticks and goggles may be available to borrow, with priority given to younger age groups.

Interested goalies receive half off registration, and additional free off-season training will be offered to help develop goalie-specific skills.

  • “Westside Wild has been such a blessing for our daughter. She’s grown so much in her confidence, skills, and love for the game, and the coaches truly care about developing each girl both on and off the field. It’s been incredible to watch her find her place, make great friends, and be part of something so positive.”
